CONCERNED SHERIFF ORDERS TREATMENT FOR FIFE MAN WHO SENT MURDER FILM TO PARTNER
A sheriff has ordered a “therapeutic” sentence after a vulnerable Fife woman’s boyfriend, David Young, sent her a horrific film of a murder and later took a sexual image of her without consent.
Young, 42, blamed addictions for his disturbing conduct throughout March this year at an address near Cupar.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard how Young pulled up the woman’s dress and made a lewd remark before taking an image of her naked.
The court was told how the woman, who is bipolar and has learning disabilities, met Young through Snapchat in January.
On March 9, Young sent her a graphic video titled ‘What I Do to Motherf*****s’ showing a man being murdered and cut open with a knife, along with a pornographic video recorded from television.
The woman, upset and distressed, contacted police, but later went to Young’s home in Larkhall for a drinking session.
There, he filmed her after pulling up her dress and sent her the video later without her consent, also sharing a screenshot of her naked in the shower.
Young pleaded guilty, but was spared a prison sentence.
The sheriff expressed concern over his mind and ordered supervised mental health and addiction treatment for 30 months, a 7pm-5am curfew for six months, and a 28-month non-harassment order.
