SEX OFFENDER MISSES SENTENCING FOR ALMOST 1K INDECENT IMAGES AFTER GOING TO HOSPITAL
A sex offender due to be sentenced over more than 900 indecent images of children offences failed to show up in court because he went to hospital.David Warman had previously admitted three counts of making indecent images of children as well as possession of a prohibited image of a child.
The 39-year-old, from Wheeler Road, Norwich, was due to be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on Monday but did not attend.
Warman had notified his solicitors on Monday morning that he was "making his way to hospital".
Recorder Jonathan Richards adjourned the case until Friday but warned Andrew Oliver, who represented Warman, he would want to see evidence of the defendant's illness.
He also warned if Warman did not attend the next hearing a warrant would be issued for his arrest.
