DANGEROUS PAEDOPHILE DAVID WARBRICK FROM GLENTHAM SENTENCED FOR WEB CAM ABUSE IN DERBYSHIRE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, David Warbrick, a 51-year-old man from Bishop Norton Road, Glentham, near Gainsborough, has been convicted and sentenced for engaging in heinous online misconduct involving young girls from Derbyshire.Warbrick was sentenced on a Monday to serve 28 months in prison after he was found guilty of serious sexual offenses. In addition to his prison term, he was handed a sexual harm prevention order that will restrict his activities for the next ten years. Furthermore, he will be listed on the sex offenders’ register for a decade, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.
The charges against Warbrick stem from his actions last year, when he was arrested and charged with two counts of inciting a female under the age of 13 to participate in sexual acts. The investigation revealed that Warbrick had made contact with the young girls through Facebook, a popular social media platform. His interactions with the girls, both aged 11 from Derbyshire, involved building a conversation that eventually led to him inviting them to engage in webcam chats.
During these online sessions, Warbrick asked the girls to remove their clothing, a request that was part of his disturbing pattern of grooming and exploitation. The police reports indicate that concerns were raised in 2013 when Warbrick initially contacted the two 11-year-olds via Facebook. The conversations escalated over time, culminating in him asking the girls to participate in webcam activities and to disrobe.
Warbrick’s guilty plea was entered at Derby Crown Court on May 17, bringing an end to a case that highlights the dangers of online grooming and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable children. The court’s decision underscores the severity of his actions and the need for strict penalties to deter similar offenses in the future.
