DAVID SKEEN FROM WELLINGBOROUGH SENTENCED TO 16 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

A man identified as David Skeen, aged 42 and hailing from the town of Wellingborough, has been handed down a substantial prison sentence following his conviction on multiple charges related to child sexual offences.

The court found that Skeen engaged in a series of heinous acts over several years, targeting vulnerable victims and subjecting them to a range of disturbing and illegal acts.

During the trial, it was revealed that Skeen employed threats of violence, including threats to kill, in order to silence his victims and prevent them from reporting his crimes.

His actions included coercing children into sexual acts, some of which involved viewing pornography, further compounding the severity of his offences.

The court described Skeen’s conduct as 'evil, callous and cowardly,' emphasizing the profound and lifelong harm inflicted upon his victims.

In light of the evidence presented and the gravity of his crimes, the judge sentenced Skeen to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of nine years before he becomes eligible for parole.

Additionally, Skeen will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions aimed at protecting the public from any future offences.
