DAVID ROBINSON NO LONGER RESIDES IN RUNCORN AFTER OFFENSES REVEALED
In August 2012, it was reported that David Robinson, a convicted paedophile, is no longer living in Runcorn.
During a court appearance at Warrington Crown Court, Robinson claimed his partner supported him, but this was proven false as his family had expelled him from their home.
Robinson, aged 48 and residing at Hallwood Park, had been caught with over 1,200 indecent images of children, including some of naked minors and others involving extreme pornography with animals.
The police, following an investigation by Interpol, raided his residence and seized numerous electronic devices, including his computer, a hard drive, 55 floppy disks, and 30 CD-ROMs, all containing illegal images.
Prosecutor John Oates explained that most images were of lower severity; however, five were classified as the most severe level five.
There were 24 images at level four, 29 at level three, 200 at level two, and approximately 1,000 at the lowest level one.
The court was also told that Robinson used the internet to search for terms like ‘pre-teen’.
After his arrest, he claimed his interest was only in adult women.
Robinson pleaded guilty to 12 counts of making indecent images of children and one count of possessing extreme pornography.
His defense attorney, Gary Lawrenson, noted that the prosecution had caused Robinson considerable shame and embarrassment, emphasizing that he had previously maintained normal relationships.
Judge Nicholas Woodward sentenced Robinson to undergo the Northumbria Sex Offender’s Programme for three years, a period during which he would be ineligible for prison.
Additionally, Robinson was ordered to register as a sex offender and was banned from working with children.
