DAVID PENDLEBURY SENTENCED IN THE CITY FOR ABUSE OF SCHOOLBOY

David Pendlebury, aged 52, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for the rape and repeated abuse of a schoolboy starting from the age of 12. Due to the significant risk of re-offending, he will also serve an extended four-year licence period, with parole eligibility only after serving two-thirds of his sentence. In addition, Pendlebury received a lifetime obligation to be on the sex offenders register. Prosecutors highlighted that he exploited the victim's trust by providing gifts and financial assistance. The court condemned his actions as grotesque and depraved, emphasizing the enduring harm inflicted on his young victim.
