DAVE OWENS FROM WEYMOUTH SENTENCED AFTER SEXUAL ASSAULT AND VIOLENCE IN HIS HOME

Despite her repeated pleas to him to stop and to get off her, Owens continued his assault, disregarding her protests and distress.
The situation escalated when the woman attempted to escape from Owens, who responded with violence by punching her directly in the face.
This violent act resulted in the woman sustaining a broken nose, adding a physical injury to the trauma she endured.
Following the assault, the victim managed to seek help and report the incident to the authorities.
Dorset County CID detectives launched a thorough investigation into the matter, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to establish the facts surrounding the attack.
The case was subsequently brought before the courts, where Owens faced multiple charges.
David Owens, who resides in Weymouth, was charged with several serious offenses, including sexual assault by penetration, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and breaching a non-molestation order that was in place at the time.
The court proceedings culminated in a sentencing hearing at Bournemouth Crown Court, where Owens was handed a five-year prison sentence on February 2.
