Stevenage Child Sexual Abuser
In October 2017, a man from Stevenage named David Thomas Overall pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to indecent images of children. He admitted to producing numerous indecent photographs and videos of minors and sharing them online.

Overall, of Merrick Close, accepted responsibility for his actions at St Albans Crown Court on a Friday. He pleaded guilty to one count of distributing an indecent image of a child, which he sent via Skype to a user with the handle JOHN.SMITH28360 on January 23. Additionally, he confessed to sending indecent images through Yahoo Messenger on February 2, 2017.

The material involved 10 images classified as category A, which is considered the most extreme, along with eight category B images and 20 category C images. These images were sent to four different Yahoo users.

Before February 2, Overall also admitted to creating 19 category A indecent images of children, which he stored on a hard drive.

The case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports, with Judge Warner cautioning Overall that seeking more information about him doesn't guarantee he will avoid prison. Judge Warner stated, “You need to understand that.”

Following the hearing, Overall was instructed to register as a sex offender and was released on bail. His bail conditions include residing and sleeping at his Merrick Close address, avoiding contact with specified relatives, having no contact with individuals under 16 through his work, and not engaging in unsupervised contact with minors outside of work. He is also prohibited from accessing pornography online and from using Facebook, Skype, or similar platforms except under certain restrictions.

Overall’s sentencing is scheduled for November 2 at St Albans Crown Court.
