David O’Connor, born around 1963 and residing at 28 Rectory Road, Duckmanton, Chesterfield S44 5JH, was convicted following an incident involving animal cruelty. On September 21, 2024, on Rectory Road in Duckmanton, O’Connor was recorded striking a springer spaniel named Dotty, who was still attached to her lead at the time. He was seen dangling her by the neck and hitting her during the attack. O’Connor pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal during a hearing at Chesterfield Magistrates Court.
