LEICESTER MAN JAILED FOR HORRIFYING HOTEL SEX ATTACK WITH A KNIFE
Knife-wielding hotel guest David Murray, aged 35, had been staying at a hotel with colleagues when he used a large kitchen knife to ambush two female workers in the hotel's reception area.
He ordered them to strip, forcibly held them hostage, and subjected one to rape while sexually assaulting the other.
Murray, who was intoxicated at the time, demanded a safe key but was unsuccessful.
He then made both women remove their clothing and perform sex acts; CCTV footage captured the horrifying incident.
Murray fled and was arrested the following day.
During court proceedings, he admitted to charges including aggravated burglary, two counts of rape, false imprisonment, causing a person to engage in sexual activity, attempted rape, and sexual assault.
He was sentenced to 16.5 years in prison with an extended license period of 8 years, meaning he can be recalled to prison within the next 24.5 years.
Murray is also required to register as a sex offender for life.
The judge highlighted the shocking nature of the crimes and expressed that the recorded images would stay with him forever.
