DAVID MCLEAN PLEADS GUILTY TO SEXUAL ABUSE OF 3-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN KILMARNOCK
In a disturbing case that unfolded at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, David McLean, aged 32 and hailing from Paisley, was formally found guilty of engaging in a series of heinous sexual offences against a young girl. The proceedings took place during a 'finding of the facts' trial, a legal process used to establish the truth of allegations when guilt or innocence is not initially in question.
During the court session, it was confirmed that McLean had committed multiple acts of sexual abuse against a three-year-old girl.
The court heard that the offences spanned several months in 2017, during which McLean, who was employed as a baggage handler at Glasgow Airport, repeatedly subjected the young girl to sexual assault.
The details of the case revealed a pattern of depraved and vile acts committed by McLean, which included various sexual acts that were both lewd and indecent.
The court also noted that McLean's behaviour extended beyond direct assault, involving lewd, indecent, or libidinous conduct directed towards the child.
These actions caused significant concern and distress, highlighting the severity of the offences.
Following the findings, McLean was sentenced to a supervision order.
This order explicitly prohibits him from having any contact with children under the age of 16, aiming to prevent any further harm and protect potential victims.
The case has drawn considerable attention due to the nature of the crimes and the age of the victim, underscoring the importance of justice and safeguarding vulnerable children.
