DAVID LOW FROM DUNFERMLINE REMOVED OVER INAPPROPRIATE MESSAGES TO YOUNG ATHLETE

David Low, who served as the chairman of the Scottish Athletics League, has been officially dismissed from his position amid serious allegations of misconduct. The incident involves Low, a 52-year-old resident of Dunfermline, who engaged in a disturbing pattern of harassment directed at a young female athlete.

According to reports, Low managed to access the private contact details of the athlete, which he then exploited to send a series of inappropriate and unwelcome messages. These messages, described as sleazy and unsolicited, caused significant distress to the victim, who was understandably shaken and uncomfortable with the nature of the communication. The young athlete, feeling harassed and disturbed by the repeated advances, decided to report the matter to the Scottish Athletics League authorities.

Following an internal investigation, the league concluded that David Low was 'not a fit or proper person' to hold any position within the organization. As a result, he has been handed a one-year ban from participating in or holding any roles within the league. This disciplinary action aims to prevent any further misconduct and to uphold the integrity of the organization.

A source close to the case highlighted the emotional impact on the victim, stating, 'The woman was shaken up and creeped out by his messages. They came out of the blue.'
