KENDAL MAN DAVID LITTLEWOOD FACES PRISON AFTER CHILD SEX CRIMES REVEALED

In a serious development at Carlisle Crown Court, David Littlewood, a 28-year-old man from Kendal, has been warned that he is likely to face a prison sentence following his admission to a series of disturbing online child sex offenses. The charges against Littlewood stem from a police raid conducted at his residence in Kendal on the morning of March 22, during which authorities uncovered evidence of his involvement in multiple criminal activities.

Littlewood pleaded guilty to a total of 18 separate counts related to child exploitation and indecent material. Among these, he admitted to three counts of attempting to cause or incite a child to engage in sexual activity. Additionally, he confessed to seven offenses of attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act, and four counts of attempting to communicate sexually with a child. These offenses are alleged to have taken place during late 2017 and early 2018, involving seven different victims, all of whom are believed to be between the ages of 13 and 15.

Further evidence presented in court revealed that Littlewood had downloaded numerous indecent photographs of children, including 172 images classified as Category A, which is considered the most severe level of child exploitation material. The police also found an extreme pornographic image featuring a horse among the files in his possession, highlighting the disturbing nature of his online activities.

Judge James Adkin, presiding over the case, ordered that a pre-sentence report be prepared to assess Littlewood’s circumstances before sentencing. The defendant, who currently has no fixed address, was also informed that he must register as a sex offender as part of the court’s ruling. His sentencing has been scheduled for May 11 at Carlisle Crown Court.

During the hearing, Judge Adkin made it clear that Littlewood should expect a custodial sentence, stating, “You should expect a custodial sentence in due course. In the meantime, you will be remanded in custody.” The court’s decision underscores the gravity of the crimes committed and the serious consequences that await him.
