September 2020 East Boldon child rapist facing prison after admitting 24 sickening sex crimes against children A Sunderland man is facing prison after admitting a string of sickening sex crimes against children. David Javan, 67, of East Boldon, admitted 24 offences when he appeared at Hull Crown Court. The crimes took place when Javan was living in Hull and East Yorkshire. They range from possession of indecent images of a child to rape. The 24 offences Javan pleaded guilty to are: One count of indecency with a child Two counts of rape 12 counts of sexual activity with a child Two counts of taking indecent photographs of a child Two counts of possessing indecent photographs of a child Sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 Two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child Two counts of sexual activity with a child He has denied two counts of attempted rape, causing or inciting a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, assault of a child under the age of 13 by penetration, causing a child to watch a sexual act and one count of sexual activity with a child. Javan will appear at Hull Crown Court on Friday, October 2 to be sentenced.
