DAVID JAVAN FROM HULL AND SUNDERLAND FACES PRISON FOR 24 CHILD SEX CRIMES
In a disturbing case that has shocked the communities of Hull and Sunderland, David Javan, a 67-year-old man from East Boldon, has admitted to committing a series of heinous sexual offenses against children.The charges were brought to light during his court appearance at Hull Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to a total of 24 separate crimes involving minors.
These offenses span a range of serious allegations, including possession of indecent images of a child, sexual assault, and rape.
The crimes are believed to have occurred while Javan was residing in Hull and the surrounding East Yorkshire area, raising concerns about the safety of children in these communities.
Specifically, Javan admitted to one count of indecency with a child, two counts of rape, and 12 counts of engaging in sexual activity with a minor.
Additionally, he pleaded guilty to two counts of taking indecent photographs of a child and two counts of possessing such images.
The court also heard that he committed sexual assault against a child under the age of 13, along with two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a minor.
Furthermore, Javan admitted to multiple other charges, including two counts of sexual activity with a child.
However, he has denied two counts of attempted rape, as well as allegations of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual acts, assaulting a child by penetration, causing a child to watch a sexual act, and one additional count of sexual activity with a minor.
Javan is scheduled to appear again at Hull Crown Court on Friday, October 2, where he will face sentencing for his admitted crimes.
The case continues to draw significant attention from law enforcement and the public, highlighting the ongoing efforts to protect children from sexual abuse and hold offenders accountable.
