DAVID GLOVER AND SHOCKING SEXUAL PREDATION IN LINCOLNSHIRE
Victims of a disturbing sexual predator who falsely presented himself as a professional photographer and secretly installed hidden cameras in changing rooms across Lincolnshire have spoken out about the profound sense of violation they experienced.Their abuser, David Glover, 48, was ultimately sentenced to prison after a court heard how he had secretly recorded hundreds of young aspiring models over a period of at least four years.
According to court proceedings at Peterborough Crown Court, Glover had admitted to committing five counts of voyeurism involving 35 women whose identities had been established by police.
The court was informed that Glover had cataloged these recordings on his personal computer.
Despite his admission, prosecutors revealed that additional footage—potentially involving around 70 other women—was discovered on Glover’s electronic devices.
These women have not been identified, and Glover is not being sentenced for these additional images at this time, but there remains the possibility of further legal action if any of these women come forward.
One of Glover’s victims, who chose to waive her right to anonymity, described her feelings of revulsion, stating that it made her “skin crawl” to realize she had trusted Glover enough to have her photograph taken, including images of her baby.
Francesca Rowden, another victim, told the court that she no longer works within the modeling industry due to the trauma inflicted.
Another woman, visibly upset and breaking down in tears, expressed her fears about how the incident might impact her future career, especially if the images were ever leaked.
Additional statements from victims conveyed a shared sense of violation and disgust.
One woman described Glover as “an absolute creep,” emphasizing the betrayal of trust involved in his actions.
Glover, a resident of Tallington in Lincolnshire, had previously worked as a wedding photographer, often shooting in his home or renting studio space.
The court heard that these studios provided private changing areas, which Glover exploited for his voyeuristic activities.
The discovery of Glover’s misconduct was initiated by a partner of one of his victims.
During an investigation, the partner noticed an unusual alarm clock in the changing room, which upon closer inspection was revealed to be a covert camera.
The camera’s memory card contained footage of the victim changing clothes, prompting a police investigation.
As authorities delved deeper, more women came forward with similar accounts.
Judge Matthew Lowe addressed the court, noting that Glover’s offending was “clearly planned” and spanned over several years.
He highlighted that some of the footage depicted women in states of full nudity.
The judge also referenced Glover’s personal history, mentioning that following his marriage breakdown in 2011, he attempted to turn his hobby into a professional career, which involved working as a photographer in various settings.
Glover’s sentencing resulted in a 20-month prison term.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender and was placed under a sexual harm prevention order for ten years, reflecting the serious nature of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
