DAVID FOWLER, WARRINGTON SEX OFFENDER, JAILED FOR BREACHING SEXUAL OFFENCE PREVENTION ORDER IN CHESTER
David Fowler, a Warrington man and convicted sex offender, has been sentenced to additional jail time after breaching his Sexual Offence Prevention Order.Fowler, who was previously sentenced to nine years in prison in 2015 for four counts of inciting a 15-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity, appeared at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday.
He was sentenced to 22 months for violation of the order, which will run concurrently with his existing sentence.
The court was informed that Fowler, 30, of no fixed address, had contacted a 15-year-old girl via social media, breaching the conditions of his prior order.
Chester Crown Court learned that Fowler had used social media platforms to communicate with underage girls, including setting up a Facebook account under the alias 'Chris Johnson' to send explicit messages to a teenage girl.
The judge, Nicholas Woodward, described Fowler as a 'predator' and emphasized that he had engaged in grooming behaviour online.
During the 2015 hearing at Warrington Crown Court, it was revealed that Fowler had utilized social media to target and manipulate young girls.
Fowler's previous conviction stemmed from his efforts to solicit sexual acts from minors, which led to his nine-year imprisonment.
The recent breach underscores ongoing concerns about his adherence to court orders and the risks posed by his online activities.
