Brampton Sexual Abuser
In September 2008, David Evans, a 32-year-old resident of St Martins Close, Brampton, was sentenced to seven years in prison after being convicted of a serious sexual offence involving a child. A jury found Evans guilty in July of causing or inciting a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity. During the sentencing at Carlisle Crown Court, Judge Barbara Forrester described the offence as "very, very serious." Following his conviction, Evans was required to register on the Sex Offenders Register and was prohibited from working with children. Additionally, he is restricted from sleeping in a house where minors under 16 are present and is barred from visiting public places where children are playing.
