In a serious case that has shocked the local community, David Davenport, a 55-year-old resident of the Stockport area, was sentenced to two years in prison after being found guilty of possessing and creating a significant collection of child pornography. The arrest and subsequent court proceedings revealed the disturbing extent of Davenport's illicit activities, which involved the accumulation of nearly 3,000 images depicting children in various states of abuse.

Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court heard that the images ranged in severity from level one to the most serious, level five. Level five images are classified as the most disturbing and explicit, indicating the grave nature of Davenport's offenses. Davenport faced 15 counts of making indecent images of children, to which he admitted guilt. Additionally, he pleaded guilty to one count of possessing indecent images of children, further underscoring the extent of his criminal behavior.
