During the hearing at Derby Crown Court, Judge Shaun Smith QC stated that he would not proceed with sentencing until a pre-sentence report was prepared. The judge emphasized the importance of understanding all relevant details about Jones before determining an appropriate punishment. While the judge indicated that an immediate prison sentence was a possibility, he also granted Jones unconditional bail and scheduled the sentencing hearing for September 18, 2018.
