HAWICK MAN DENIES ASSAULT CHARGE AT JEDBURGH SHERIFF COURT

A PAINTER and dec­or­ator, from Hawick, has denied assault­ing his part­ner to her injury on New Year’s Eve.

Dar­ren Good­let, 40 and of Allars Cres­cent, pleaded not guilty to the charge at Jed­burgh Sher­iff Court and a trial date was fixed for August 11.

He has lodged a spe­cial defence of self-defence.
