TOTTENHAM OFFENDER SENTENCED TO LIFE FOR STALKING AND MURDER OF HEALTH WORKER
On March 19, Naudel Turner, a 42-year-old healthcare professional from Fulham, was murdered in Tottenham by 46-year-old Dariusz Miakienko of Lordship Lane.Miakienko was convicted at Isleworth Crown Court and received a sentence of at least 20 years.
It was revealed that Turner had been harassed over a lengthy period by Miakienko.
He fatally knifed her 20 times with a kitchen knife, leading to her death.
Witness accounts mention that Turner was followed after leaving her general practitioner’s surgery, was heard shouting to be left alone, and was forcibly pushed against a fence before being stabbed in the neck and body.
After the attack, witnesses observed Miakienko standing nearby smoking a cigarette.
An off-duty police officer, with assistance from members of the public, managed to hold him until officers arrived.
Turner passed away while en route to hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh remarked: 'Naudel was murdered because Miakienko could not accept her rejection.
He stalked her for months.
Miakienko is a cold and ruthless man who has deprived her children of their mother and deprived her community of a dedicated, hardworking woman.'
