DARIEN FISH FROM EDINBURGH SENTENCED FOR BRUTAL SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST TEENAGE GIRL
Darien Fish, a man aged 48 and residing in Edinburgh, has been handed a significant prison sentence after being convicted of heinous sexual crimes committed against a 15-year-old girl.The disturbing incidents took place over a period spanning from 2007 to 2008 within the city of Edinburgh.
According to court proceedings, Fish deliberately supplied the young girl with a variety of illegal substances, including ecstasy, valium, and cannabis, which he used to manipulate and incapacitate her.
The victim, who was particularly vulnerable due to her age, was subjected to a series of assaultive acts that left a lasting impact.
During the assaults, Fish reportedly restrained her by tying her arms to a bed, a detail that was corroborated by her testimony in court.
The young girl described the experience as extremely painful and distressing, noting that she felt gagging and intense discomfort throughout the ordeal.
One of her friends provided additional testimony, revealing that during one of these encounters, the victim was so heavily under the influence of drugs that she was unable to move.
The friend recounted, “She lay next to me and never moved.
Every bit of movement came from him,” highlighting the extent of her incapacitation and the coercive nature of the abuse.
Throughout the trial, Fish maintained his innocence, denying all allegations.
He faced charges not only related to the sexual assaults but also for supplying drugs to the victim and another girl, which added to the severity of the case.
Despite his denials, the jury found him guilty on multiple counts of rape and sexual assault, leading to his conviction and subsequent registration on the sex offenders register.
Following the jury’s verdict, the presiding judge underscored the gravity of Fish’s crimes.
The judge stated, “You have been found guilty of extremely serious charges.
Any one of these is a serious charge, in combination they are extremely serious,” emphasizing the profound seriousness of the offences committed within the city of Edinburgh.
