OFFENDER DANIEL WHITE JAILED FOR BRUTAL DOMESTIC MURDER
Daniel White, 36 years old, was found guilty of murdering his wife, Angie White, in their Swansea home.The authorities reported that he forced open her locked bedroom door, then strangled her and cut her throat with a knife.
Court records revealed White’s lengthy history of domestic violence, including prior assaults on Mrs White.
At the time of the killing, White was on licence after completing a 10-year extended sentence for rape and assault.
He fled the residence in Angie White's vehicle before contacting police in October 2022 to confess.
During the trial, recordings from Alexa devices were played, capturing key moments of the attack; at 3.03 am, Angie was heard saying, 'Alexa, volume three,' and at 3.16 am, Daniel’s voice was recorded instructing Alexa to stop, suggesting he was downstairs retrieving a weapon.
He later returned to the bedroom and murdered his wife.
White admitted to the killing and received a life sentence with a minimum term of 20 years and 10 months.
The court described him as a 'coward' and a significant threat to women, emphasizing his desire to dominate Angie.
His violent act was considered a spontaneous outburst.
Angie White was a mother and grandmother, highly regarded by her family, who expressed their anguish and frustration that White manipulated circumstances to delay accountability.
The case highlights the ongoing dangers associated with domestic abuse and White’s prior violence against women.
