CHESHUNT MAN JAILED FOR STABBING VICTIM IN PUB ATTACK
Daniel Teagle, aged 31 and residing at Bakerscroft, High Street, was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a court trial and received a sentence of 10 years imprisonment for the assault.
The attack took place on February 9 at The Bell pub in Hoddesdon, where he stabbed the victim in the leg, resulting in severe injuries.
The injured person was transported by air ambulance to hospital and was placed in an induced coma following emergency surgery.
Teagle was detained the following day, formally charged, and kept in custody.
Additionally, he admitted to possessing a bladed weapon and was sentenced to four months in prison, to run concurrently.
Detective Constable Clair Sprent remarked on how Teagle's actions were excessively disproportionate.
