DANIEL NORTON OF CHEADLE SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS IN HAMPSHIRE FOR PAEDOPHILIC CRIMES
A heinous paedophile, Daniel Norton, aged 26, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after threatening a teenage girl from Hampshire into sending sexual videos of herself and her brother.
Norton falsely claimed that his father was a police officer and threatened the girl that if she did not provide pictures and videos, he would "take her away from her family." Southampton Crown Court heard that Norton also threatened to distribute the images and videos online if she refused to send more material.
When the victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, ultimately refused, Norton proceeded to upload the images on the internet, causing them to go viral.
This incident prompted Hampshire Constabulary to issue a warning to parents, urging them to advise their children against sharing such disturbing content.
Norton, of Cheadle, Stockport, admitted to three counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity between October 1 and December 1, 2017.
He also pleaded guilty to making numerous indecent moving images of children—covering all three categories of severity—and possessing extreme pornographic images depicting children engaged in sexual acts with animals.
