During this assault, he squeezed her neck, hit her multiple times, and pinned her against an electrical cupboard, causing her significant pain and distress.
Following this assault, she managed to lock herself in the bathroom and call the police.
Kerr was arrested the next morning, and since then, he has been remanded in custody.

Kerr was sentenced to an extended sentence of eight years—five years in prison with an additional three years on supervised release—and was ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
