DANIEL JORDAN SENTENCED FOR BRUTAL RAPE AND STRANGULATION IN LONDON
A man named Daniel Jordan, aged 28, has been sentenced to prison after committing a violent and heinous assault in London.The attack took place in an alleyway behind a row of shops on Longbridge Road in Barking during October 2022.
Jordan was identified as the perpetrator through DNA evidence, which linked him conclusively to the crime scene.

She described how the attacker, later identified as Daniel Jordan, had strangled her to the point where she lost consciousness temporarily.

Additionally, he received a five-year extended license period, which means he will be under supervision for an extended period after his release.
For the specific charges of non-fatal strangulation and assault, he was sentenced to 30 months, with both sentences to run concurrently.
The court also mandated that Jordan be placed on the sex offenders' register for life, reflecting the seriousness of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses.

Detective Sergeant Charlie Yexley, who is involved in sexual offence investigations within the Metropolitan Police's east London division, expressed his respect for her resilience.

Sergeant Yexley also noted that the jury's unequivocal recognition of Jordan's guilt should bring some measure of justice and closure for the victim.
