Daniel Chipchase

Rhyl Mablethorpe Sexual Abuser

October 2013 Judge reduces minimum term of man who raped boy, 6 A judge has amended the sentence of Daniel Aaron Chipchase who raped a six-year-old boy in Mablethorpe. Chipchase has still received a life sentence but the minimum term he must serve before he can be considered for parole has been reduced from 12 years to six. Daniel Aaron Chipchase, from Rhyl, North Wales, was arrested on October 17, 2012 after a member of the public became concerned about what was going on in a toilet cubicle at a caravan site in Mablethorpe. He was charged with offences relating to this rape and to the attack of two girls aged three and five back in North Wales, including the rape of one. Judge Sean Morris, passing sentence at Lincoln Crown Court, told Chipchase: “Life is the only sentence that will provide lasting and enduring protection for the public. “You represent a significant risk of serious harm to children from further such offending. I am of the view that if you were to be alone with any young child, male or female, your sexual urges would get the better of you and you would commit serious sexual offences against them.” September 2013 Man sentenced to life for rape of boy, 6, at Mablethorpe A man who raped a six-year-old boy at a caravan site in Mablethorpe has been sentenced to life in prison. Daniel Aaron Chipchase, from Rhyl, North Wales, was arrested on October 17, 2012 after a member of the public became concerned about what was going on in a toilet cubicle at the site. He was charged with offences relating to this rape and to the rapes of two girls aged three and five back in North Wales. Chipchase, 20, was today sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court to life imprisonment and the Judge Sean Morris ruled that he must serve a minimum of 12 years before being considered for release. Judge Morris told the offender: “I am of the view that you represent a risk of serious harm to children.” He added that Chipchase would not be released until the authorities deemed it safe to do so and said he felt he would probably pose a risk to children for the rest of his life. Detective Sergeant Alison Smith, from Lincolnshire Police, said: “This has been a harrowing case for all concerned particularly the very young victims who were targeted and abused by the predatory Chipchase. “It has also been distressing for the investigation team who has been shocked and appalled by the level of sexual abuse carried out by Chipchase.” Detective Sergeant Smith went on to thank the team, the Crown Prosecution Service and all the witnesses for their help in bringing the dangerous paedophile to justice in particular the witness who was concerned about what was happening in the toilet cubicle. She added: “It is frightening to think what might have happened to other children had his reign of terror and abuse carried on unchecked.”
