LEIGH MAN DANIEL BOLTON CAUGHT WITH CHILD SEX DOLLS AND OVER 1200 INDECENT IMAGES

In a case that has shocked the community of Leigh, Daniel Bolton, a 42-year-old resident of Leigh Road, was found to be in possession of disturbing materials related to child exploitation.

The police conducted a raid on Bolton's home in Leigh in July 2017, uncovering a troubling collection of items that included two child sex dolls, sets of children's clothing used to dress these dolls, and a significant number of indecent images of children on his computer.

Among the images discovered, some depicted children as young as two years old, with others showing individuals in obvious pain or distress.

Bolton faced multiple charges related to these findings, including possession, distribution, and importation of indecent images and items associated with child exploitation.

Specifically, he was charged with making and distributing over 1,200 indecent photographs of a child, with the images created between April 27, 2013, and July 23, 2017.

During his court appearance at Bolton Crown Court, Bolton pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images, two counts of distributing these images, and two counts related to the importation of the child sex dolls.

The court heard that Bolton had no previous convictions and was suffering from a major depressive disorder, which he was actively trying to manage through counseling.

His defense lawyer, Andrew Nuttall QC, described Bolton’s lifestyle as
