Horley Rapist
In a recent court ruling at Guildford Crown Court, Damien Scott Miller, a 26-year-old resident of Horley, was convicted of multiple serious sexual offences involving three underage girls. The court found Miller guilty of committing one count of rape against a girl under the age of 16, as well as two counts of engaging in sexual activities with minors under 16. Additionally, he was convicted of two counts of indecent assault on a female under 16 years old.

The sentencing concluded with Miller receiving a substantial prison term of eight and a half years. The court proceedings revealed disturbing details about his actions, including the fact that he worked closely with young adults with learning disabilities on a daily basis, which added a troubling dimension to his profile.

The most severe of his offences involved the rape of a 14-year-old girl, an assault that took place in Reigate. This particular incident was a key factor in the court’s decision to impose a lengthy custodial sentence. Furthermore, Miller was subjected to a sexual prevention order, a legal measure designed to restrict his future conduct, and was ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.

It was also noted that Miller has since been released from custody and is currently residing in the Shoreham area. However, he maintains connections to Leatherhead, which could be relevant to ongoing monitoring and community safety considerations.
