He initially rang his ex, who saw him parked outside, and then went to the house where he forcibly pushed his ex to the ground after pulling her by the arm.
He also grabbed his daughter and tried to persuade her to drop her police statement, saying, 'I’m warning you, I’m warning you.' During the altercation, a neighbour intervened and helped Miller’s ex to her feet.
Miller, who has 21 previous convictions, pleaded guilty to charges of affray and attempted intimidation.
He was sentenced to 13 months in prison.
The court heard that Miller’s actions included pulling his daughter outside, making threats, and causing minor injuries to his ex-partner and himself in a domestic context witnessed by children and a neighbour.
Prior to sentencing, the judge highlighted Miller’s history of violence and his recent breaches of a serious crime prevention order.
His assault and intimidating behavior stemmed from his concern over his daughter's relationship, but his conduct was deemed seriously Criminal, especially given his prior convictions and the fact that the incident occurred shortly after his release for another offence.
