RAPIST JAILED FOR 22 YEARS
A man convicted of multiple serious offences, including rape, sexual assault, and encouraging a girl into sexual activity, has received a 22-year prison sentence at Swansea Crown Court.Damien Jones, aged 40 and residing in Llanelli, was sentenced on Monday (July 6) after being found guilty by a jury on May 6 of numerous charges, which included four counts of raping a girl under 13, two counts of sexual touching involving a girl under 13, three counts of sexual assault with penetration of a girl under 13, four counts of inciting a girl under 13 into sexual activities without penetration, and three counts of encouraging a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity with penetration.
These offences were committed between 2013 and 2021 and involved a single victim who was under 15 at the time.
Apart from his prison term, Jones was also subjected to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and a perpetual restraining order protecting the victim.
