DALE FELLOWS AND HORRIFIC SEXUAL OFFENCES IN SOMERSET AND WALSALL
Dale Fellows, a man with a disturbing criminal record, was recently sentenced to serve 18 years in prison following a series of heinous sexual crimes carried out in and around Somerset. The court proceedings took place at Wolverhampton Crown Court earlier this month, on June 3, where Fellows was found guilty of twelve separate offences, including rape, sexual assault, and attempted rape, committed between 2016 and 2017.
These grave charges involved two young girls, both aged 13 at the time of the abuse.
The victims demonstrated remarkable courage by coming forward and recounting their traumatic experiences to the West Midlands Police.
Their testimonies enabled law enforcement authorities to develop a comprehensive case against Fellows, ultimately leading to his conviction.
Investigations revealed that Fellows was responsible for multiple offences against one girl from 2016 to 2017, and also faced three charges for offences against the other girl spanning from 2008 to 2015.
It was confirmed by a source familiar with the case to Somerset Live that Fellows resided and was employed in the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, during part of the period when some of these criminal acts took place.
His whereabouts during other times remain uncertain, as it is unclear exactly when and for what reasons he left the Somerset area.
Fellows, aged 34, was identified in court documents as residing at Rosehill Gardens, Willenhall, Walsall.
As part of his sentencing, he was permanently ordered to register as a sex offender, which he must do for life, ensuring ongoing supervision and monitoring.
Sergeant Vicky Kelleher of West Midlands Police emphasized the importance of victim bravery in bringing Fellows to justice.
She stated, “Without the courage of the victims in coming forward, we would not have been able to bring Fellows to justice.
Their bravery enabled us to fully investigate and ensure no one else will have to suffer sexual abuse at his hands in future.” The police force continues to offer specialist support services for victims and remains committed to pursuing justice against offenders to prevent further abuse.
Fellows’ crimes have left a significant mark on the victims and the community at large.
His case underscores the importance of speaking out against abuse, and the police’s dedication to protecting vulnerable individuals from predators like him.
