DAIRMUID KEYES FROM BELFAST ADMITS TO CHILD EXPLOITATION CRIMES IN CRAIGAVON
In a significant development at Craigavon Crown Court, 22-year-old Dairmuid Joseph John Keyes, a resident of Belfast, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the possession and creation of indecent images of children. The charges stem from incidents that allegedly took place within the county court division of Craigavon between January and May of 2015.
Keyes faced a total of 16 counts of making indecent photographs of children, a serious offense that highlights the disturbing nature of his actions.
In addition to these, he also admitted to three charges involving the possession of prohibited images of minors, which are considered particularly grave under current legislation.
His appearance in court last Friday marked a crucial step in the legal process, as he chose to plead guilty to all charges brought against him.
The proceedings took place at Craigavon Crown Court, where the case was formally adjourned to allow for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
This report will assist the court in determining an appropriate sentence based on the full circumstances of the case.
As of now, Dairmuid Keyes remains on bail and is scheduled to return to court in Craigavon for further proceedings.
The case continues to draw attention due to the serious nature of the allegations and the impact on the victims involved.
The court's next session is set for February 10 of the upcoming year, when the sentencing process is expected to proceed.
