Essex Elder Abuser Rapist
Cuthbert Flavien, a 45-year-old man with a prior conviction for attempted rape, was sentenced to three life sentences for brutally raping and assaulting two elderly women in their homes. The attacks were premeditated and violent, targeting vulnerable pensioners aged 76 and 74. Flavien took extensive measures to avoid leaving evidence, such as shaving his head, wearing gloves, and wiping his victims.

Despite this, DNA from a previous case linked him to the crimes. He was described by the court as "callous" and is suspected of other similar offenses.

Flavien, who had a prior conviction for attempted rape in 1989 and was suspected by police of involvement in multiple other sexual assaults, attacked a 74-year-old woman. Wearing his signature gloves, he raped her after forcibly removing her nightclothes. During the assault, he made a cruel remark, asking the victim if she was enjoying it.
