CRAIG SPENCER FROM OWSTON FERRY SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS FOR PREDATORY SEXUAL OFFENCES IN SCUNTHORPE

In a recent court ruling, Craig Spencer, a 51-year-old man from Owston Ferry, has been sentenced to a total of eight years in prison following his conviction on multiple counts of sexual offences.

The offences, which are described as predatory in nature, involved taking advantage of a young girl during the years 2005 and 2006.

At that time, Spencer was operating a tattoo parlour located on Robert Street in Scunthorpe, a detail that underscores the breach of trust and abuse of his position of authority.

Spencer was found guilty of six separate counts of engaging in sexual activity with the girl, with the incidents spanning over a period of two years.

The court heard that his actions were calculated and exploitative, targeting a vulnerable individual during a time when he was in a position of influence and trust.

As part of the sentencing, Spencer will serve a minimum of four years behind bars before becoming eligible for parole.

Additionally, he has been mandated to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life, a measure intended to monitor and restrict his activities post-release.
