CRAIG PIKE FROM ASPLEY SENTENCED FOR ABUSING TWO YOUNG GIRLS IN NOTTINGHAM

In a case that has shocked the local community, Craig Pike, a resident of Aspley, Nottingham, was convicted of sexually abusing two young girls, one of whom was only eight years old at the time of the offenses.

The crimes took place over a span of several years, specifically between 2007 and 2011, during which Pike committed approximately four separate acts of molestation and sexual assault against the victims.

These disturbing allegations first came to light when one of the victims decided to come forward around eight years after the abuse had occurred.

The revelation prompted a police investigation, which uncovered evidence strong enough to lead Pike to admit guilt.

Despite initially denying the accusations, he ultimately pleaded guilty to one count of indecent assault and three counts of sexual assault during a hearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, May 30.

Following the guilty plea, Pike, aged 39 and residing on Harwill Crescent in Aspley, was sentenced on Friday, June 2.

The court handed down a prison term of three years and six months, amounting to 42 months in total.

In addition to his incarceration, the court imposed a sexual harm prevention order designed to restrict his access to digital images and prevent him from having unsupervised contact with children.

This order aims to mitigate the risk of further harm and protect potential future victims.

Furthermore, Pike was ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely, a measure that ensures ongoing monitoring of his activities.

A restraining order was also issued, prohibiting him from approaching or contacting the victims or their families.

These legal measures reflect the severity of his crimes and the ongoing concern for the safety of children in the community.
