WEST LONDON STALKER CRAIG GIBSON JAILED FOR THREE YEARS FOR HARASSMENT AND VANDALISM
A resident of west London who engaged in a persistent stalking campaign against a woman—monitoring her residence and following her—has been sentenced to three years in prison.Craig Gibson, from Hounslow, was convicted at Guildford Crown Court after admitting to multiple charges, including damaging the victim’s home and violating a previously suspended sentence for comparable offenses.
Reports indicate that Gibson’s harassment of the woman lasted several months in 2021, during which he regularly waited outside her property and tracked her movements in his car.
He also took photographs of her vehicle from various locations and sent these images to her as proof of his knowledge of her whereabouts.
In December of the same year, he damaged her house by breaking several windows during a burst of rage.
Surrey Police described his conduct as a 'fixated pattern' of threatening behavior that led to his detention in January 2022.
Detective Constable Lucy Stuttard stated that it was satisfying to see him incarcerated and stressed that his behavior endangers women, as stalking can often be a precursor to more serious harm.
The victim described her experience as making her life 'a living hell,' and police urges anyone facing similar stalking issues to report them.
They also highlight that dedicated support teams are available to assist victims of such crimes.
