The incidents primarily took place at various addresses located in the Drumchapel area, as well as in Clydebank, Erskine, and Milngavie.
These locations, known for their proximity to Glasgow, became the sites of disturbing criminal activity carried out by McCuaig during the specified period.
During the trial, it was disclosed that McCuaig had supplied alcohol to one of his young victims, which facilitated the abuse.
Additionally, the court heard that he had issued violent threats to another girl, further demonstrating the predatory nature of his actions.
The evidence presented painted a disturbing picture of a man who exploited his position and trust to commit heinous acts.
The court also examined McCuaig’s criminal history, which included a conviction in 2004 for grooming and sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.
For this offense, he was sentenced to three years in prison.
The details of this case revealed that McCuaig, a former soldier, had engaged in grooming behavior before sexually assaulting the young girl, highlighting a pattern of predatory conduct.
As the legal proceedings concluded, it was announced that McCuaig would face sentencing at Livingston High Court on October 12th.
The case has garnered significant attention due to the severity of the crimes and the length of time over which they were committed, raising ongoing concerns about safeguarding vulnerable children in the Glasgow area and beyond.
