Tipton Child Sexual Abuser Online Groomer
A 50-year-old man named Corey Anderson, from Tipton, West Midlands, has been sentenced to six years and ten months in prison for grooming a teenage girl and sexually abusing her at his residence. Anderson was convicted in February of multiple charges, including sexual activity with a child, meeting a child following a sexual grooming, sexual communication with a child, and child abduction. Suffolk Constabulary confirmed that he had met the victim online in 2018 and communicated with her for two years until they arranged to meet in the summer of 2020, when she was 15. He then met her in Suffolk, took her to his home, and sexually assaulted her. Police located Anderson and the girl after her family reported her missing, raising concerns she was with him. He was stopped in a vehicle with the girl, arrested, and brought back to Suffolk where he was charged. In addition to his prison sentence, Anderson was issued a sexual harm prevention order and ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely. Detective Constable Sam Chandler commented that Anderson posed a significant risk to children, claiming that despite his insistence on his motivations being pure, he had actually groomed and abducted the girl for his own sexual gratification. Chandler expressed hope that the victim would recover from the trauma inflicted upon her.
