CONOR O’KEEFE FROM DUBLIN CONVICTED OF ONLINE GROOMING AND SEX OFFENCES INVOLVING A MINOR

A man from Dublin, Conor O’Keefe, age 26, engaged in online grooming by deceiving a minor girl through a fabricated social media identity and later having sexual contact with her. O’Keefe created a profile pretending to be an older brother, convincing the girl to meet him for sex. During the trial, he claimed that the girl was willing to participate, but the court determined that he had pressured her into performing sexual acts despite knowing her age. O’Keefe was convicted of sex offences involving minors and participated in therapy as part of his sentencing.
