CONNOR MCDOUGALL FROM FIFE SENT NAKED PHOTOS TO YOUNG GIRLS AND TARGETED TEENS IN DUNFERMLINE
In December 2019, a disturbing case emerged involving Connor McDougall, a 19-year-old resident of Dover Drive in Fife, who was found guilty of sending explicit images and messages to underage girls in the Dunfermline area.The case came to light after concerned family members of the victims discovered inappropriate messages on their daughters' phones, prompting police intervention.
McDougall appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face serious allegations.
He admitted that between May 1 and May 31 of the previous year, he had engaged in a disturbing pattern of behavior involving a girl who was only 14 years old at the time.
During this period, he sent her a sexual image depicting male genitals, which he knew would be inappropriate for her age.
Alongside this, he also sent her numerous text messages and social media communications containing sexually explicit comments, further exploiting her vulnerability.
The court heard that McDougall's misconduct was not limited to this single incident.
Between February 1 and June 30 of the same year, he engaged in similar behavior with another girl, who was 15 years old.
In this case, he sent her an indecent image of himself and continued to communicate with her through written messages.
During these exchanges, he encouraged her to participate in sexual acts, demonstrating a clear pattern of predatory behavior.
Prosecutor Azrah Yousaf explained that in both instances, McDougall had sent explicit images of himself to the girls, who reciprocated by sending their own photographs.
In the second case, McDougall explicitly expressed his sexual arousal by messaging the girl that he was feeling “horny.” It was the discovery of these messages by the girls' family members that led to police involvement.
The father of the 15-year-old girl found the messages on her phone and promptly contacted law enforcement authorities.
Similarly, the older sister of the 14-year-old girl uncovered the messages from McDougall, which further confirmed the inappropriate and illegal nature of his actions.
During the court proceedings, Sheriff Alastair Brown addressed McDougall directly, emphasizing the seriousness of his offenses.
He stated, “Children under 16 years old are off-limits sexually, full stop.
It’s as simple as that.” As a result of his guilty pleas, McDougall was sentenced to a community payback order.
This order includes one year of supervised probation and the requirement to complete 225 hours of unpaid work, reflecting the court’s stance on protecting minors from sexual exploitation and ensuring accountability for such misconduct.
