JEDBURGH SHERIFF COURT: MAN SENT EX MESSAGES CONSTANTLY
Connor Brown, a 31-year-old man, inundated his former partner with messages following the end of their relationship due to his controlling tendencies, according to reports from Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Over nearly two hours, he made repeated calls to her using six different mobile numbers.
He was sentenced to perform 135 hours of unpaid work and was prohibited from contacting her for five years, including restrictions on posting about her on social media.
Brown admitted to engaging in a pattern of abusive conduct, which involved physically restraining her, threatening to commit suicide if the relationship ended, and repeatedly reaching out through calls, texts, and social media.
The court characterized his actions as a "serious offence."
