MAN ACCUSED OF BREACHING SEXUAL HARM AND RESTRAINING ORDERS
A Leicester resident, who had earlier received a caution for the crime of raping a girl below the age of 13, has been convicted and sentenced to prison for repeatedly breaching a restraining order.On 22 January 2026, at Leicester Crown Court, Connly Hathaway was sentenced to one month in custody after he pleaded guilty to harassment and violations of the restraining order.
The case had been transferred from Loughborough Magistrates’ Court in September 2025, and the court committed the matter to Crown Court for sentencing after Hathaway’s guilty plea.
Hathaway's record includes previous enforcement of a Risk of Sexual Harm Order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), with those orders cited as being violated in court proceedings.
It was reported that police had previously issued him with a caution for child abduction and engaging in sexual activities with an under-13 girl.
The victim was found concealed in a cupboard inside Hathaway’s bedroom.
