March 2017 Pensioner performed sex act on himself with vacuum cleaner in front of young boy A pensioner has been found guilty of indecently assaulting a young boy – including using a vacuum cleaner to perform a sex act on himself in front of the lad.

A jury today took less than an hour to reach a unanimous guilty verdict on all six charges against the man, in his 70s, over incidents in 1989 and 1990.

The victim was 14 at the time but is now in his 40s.

The man denied assaulting the boy during the trial but, after the guilty verdicts today, the court reportedly heard how the man had one previous conviction for a similar offence.

The court had heard how the victim could clearly describe the layout of the man’s house, despite his attacker claiming he had never been there as part of his defence.

A three-day trial at Letterkenny Circuit Court in Donegal, Ireland, heard how the then teenager and his attacker were interested in flying, resulting in them ending up at the man’s house looking at flying magazines together The material then progressed to pornographic magazines before the boy was indecent assaulted.

The victim had said he saw his attacker carry out a sexual act with a vacuum cleaner .

“He dropped (his) trousers and at the end of the bed there was a hoover,” the victim said.

“The nozzle was taken off it and he said, ‘look at this’.

“He stuck his penis in and he began turning on and off the hoover .

“He said, ‘This is like a woman’s vagina’.

“I couldn’t understand it or get my head around it.” During the trial, the accused had denied the act: “That is totally untrue.

“I would never do anything like that with a hoover.” The boy was then assaulted while the attacker performed a sex act on himself.

In another attack, the man inserted a candle into his victim’s bottom, leaving himself feeling torn all the time and also passing blood for days afterwards.

He was eventually arrested in 2014.
