Workington man ordered to register as sex offender after grooming attempt

A man identified as Christopher Tremble, aged 40, has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for five years after attempting to engage in sexual communication with a person under 16. Tremble, who resides at Eller Bank, Harrington in Workington, deliberately tried to communicate with someone under the age of 16 and discussed sexual acts with the intent of obtaining sexual gratification. He appeared before Workington Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. As a sentence, tremble was given an 18-month community order with 15 days of rehabilitation activities and fined £336. Additionally, he is required to register with the police as a sex offender for five years. A sexual harm prevention order was also imposed, which includes prohibitions against any unsupervised contact or communication with children under 16.
