CALDICOT PENSIONER JAILED FOR DOMESTIC SUFFOCATION ASSAULT
A man accused of domestic abuse was sentenced to prison after being convicted of deliberately suffocating a woman.Christopher Stone, aged 75 and from Caldicot, was found guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court of two counts related to an incident involving a woman last November.
Despite denying the allegations, he was convicted after a trial.
The court issued a three-year restraining order preventing him from contacting his victim.
Following his sentencing, Stone received a 36-week prison term, and was also ordered to pay £720 in costs along with a £187 surcharge once he is released from custody.
