Christopher Sanders, aged 50, appeared before Leicester Crown Court on Friday, February 20, to admit guilt to multiple offenses committed over several years.
He also confessed to possessing indecent images of children, which authorities discovered on his devices following his arrest by Leicestershire Police in 2024.
The arrest was prompted by information provided by the Department of Homeland Security in the United States.
Evidence linked to the defendant’s illegal activities included the exploitation of young teenagers in the Philippines, located in the western Pacific region.
Sanders, residing at Holliers Walk in Hinckley, pleaded guilty to five counts of arranging child sex offences between August 2017 and February 2019, as well as two charges of creating indecent images of children.
These images amount to 20 in total.
Representing Sanders, Christopher Tehrani KC, requested that a pre-sentence report be prepared by the Probation Service to aid in sentencing, acknowledging that a prison sentence was likely.
The barrister stated, “"The defendant is very realistic about the outcome." and mentioned that Sanders would undergo assessment by a psychiatrist at the end of February to support the report.
He proposed that sentencing be scheduled for April.
Judge Ebrahim Mooncey agreed to this plan but emphasized that the pre-sentence report, which often suggests alternatives to imprisonment, does not necessarily imply that non-custodial options are being considered.
The sentencing was adjourned to Friday, April 17, with the judge noting, "Clearly, custody is most likely, but the court needs to hear from the Probation Service." Addressing Sanders directly, the judge stated, "You've pleaded guilty to the matters you face.
"I am asked to adjourn sentencing for the preparation of a report.
Bail will continue and all the conditions will still apply.
"The sentencing hearing will take place on Friday, April 17.
