A Swansea man has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of multiple child sex offences. 44-year-old Christopher Norris, hailing from Clydach, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault, one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and one count of engaging in sexual communication with a child. He has been sentenced to thirty months in prison. Additionally, Norris has been placed under an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and a restraining order prohibiting contact with the victim for five years. He will also remain registered as a sexual offender for the rest of his life. Detective Constable Joanne Williams stated, “Christopher Norris is a highly dangerous individual who preyed upon his child victim with absolutely no regard for their wellbeing. I commend the bravery of the victim in reporting Christopher Norris’s actions, which was instrumental in helping bring him to justice. I hope this sentence brings some comfort to the victim and their family, all of whom have been through a harrowing ordeal.”
