A Swansea man has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of multiple child sex offences.
44-year-old Christopher Norris, hailing from Clydach, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault, one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and one count of engaging in sexual communication with a child.
He has been sentenced to thirty months in prison.
Additionally, Norris has been placed under an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and a restraining order prohibiting contact with the victim for five years.
He will also remain registered as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.
Detective Constable Joanne Williams stated, “Christopher Norris is a highly dangerous individual who preyed upon his child victim with absolutely no regard for their wellbeing.
I commend the bravery of the victim in reporting Christopher Norris’s actions, which was instrumental in helping bring him to justice.
I hope this sentence brings some comfort to the victim and their family, all of whom have been through a harrowing ordeal.”
